Turahalli Forest off Kanakapura road

Hello,I am back with a new adventure in my pocket :) Summer in Bangalore has been very punishing. For almost 2 months couldn't even think off stepping out for a ride. And then when the rain gods showed mercy, all I could think of is making the most of the weather and head out for a ride. :)  This ride was a relief to my frustration for not being able to materialize rides for many weekends. :P It's when you really yearn for something and you get it,that when you really enjoy it.And Enjoy I did! :) Called up my biker pal Rosh and discussed about a short morning ride. It's been a year since we rode together. And this was also a chance for me to get in touch with the other lady bikers of Bangalore, part of the Bikerni group.
Than how we got in touch with Chang.Met up with few other friends of Rosh, from Yamaha Riders group. The ride was to Turahalli forest. Not very far from Metro on Kanakapura road.Just after holiday village,we need to take a right and when you reach the end of the road,u'll find a little forest like area. Then just head in to that place. In the morning you'll find a lot of cyclists also heading to that area.Purely off roading, don't tell me later that I didn't warn you. ;) Luckily,we bumped into the forest range officer who took us  to the rite spot. You'll find families coming for a walk there. I also spotted a peacock there :)

Spent the Sunday morning just the way I wanted it :) Stay awesome! :) Until next time, cheerio! :)

  2. sorry to be saying this, but it really pains to see vehicles going all the way to the top.. also the fun of ascending the hill on foot will be missed!! have been visiting this place for the last 23 years and i have seen how the greens have reduced over the years.. we may never notice, we would have run over small vine snakes.. hence it is best advised to visit the only breathing space left in bangalore on foot.

    1. I must agree, walking through that place would've be even better than off roading on bikes. I was surprised to see families go for a walk up there. Probably,it's walk next time I visit that place.
