Every year we celebrate Onam by welcoming King Bali by decorating our Verandah with a beautiful flower carpet and this year was no different.Lord Bali bowing down to Lord Vamana,an incarnation of Lord Vishnu,symbolizes to live life with humbleness and to listen to your guru for your prosperity.
Even to create a simple flower carpet it easily takes you 2-3hrs. Every year having put some baby designs,this year with the help of my sister we decided to put a flower carpet design with shades.We changed some colours from the pic we had selected. Didn't know it would turn out to amaze my family and friends. Definitely I see a hand of god in the efforts we put,the credit goes to the Almighty.
I've learnt that all one really requires is the enthusiasm to do the job and nobody can take that away from you and the rest will be taken care off. :)
We put up our flower carpet pic for a contest held by Chinmaya Prakashan on fb and we won!Winning a competition for the first time felt great.
