Bikerni day and Savandurga

The plan was to have breakfast at bidadi, the famous tatte idli.Enjoy the company of bikernis and celebrate the bikerni group being the motorcycle club of the year :) When people of the same ideas get together its a beautiful match made in heaven. Every bikeni was so warm and welcoming. We met at mysore nice road junction around 7 in the morning. Thanks to my dear friend Roshini for organizing this ride.7 bikes 8 ladies head out in a single file. That sight is always beautiful. Madhuri being an amazing sweeper and Gayathri heading the group. We reached bidadi in no time. There we had a round table conference with yummy idlis, sharing stories of recent rides and dreams of future bikes and rides.None of us were in a mood to leave. So few of us decided to go ahead with another short ride.We decided on Savandurga. Bid our good byes to Gayatri and Suman as they had other plans for the day.
Five riders took a deviation from rajarajeshwari engineering college to Big Banyan tree.Headed straight from BB tree to Manchinbele dam. After the dam we kinda lost our way because it is through the village limits and no markings to Savandurga. Taking the words of locals we rode through some beautiful roads.Lush green everywhere. Finally we ended on a main road towards magadi,on the way was Savandurga. All I can say the ride was awesome,we forgot to take pics. Truely enjoyed the ride to Savandurga. Halted at the first temple (Bhiarava temple) near the hill, some chit chatting :) and headed towards the other temple Lakshmi Narishimha temple, where the hike up the hill begins. We found our place at the foot of the hill.Spent some time there, sharing many more stories. :)
Then it was a 60km ride back to Bangalore.Heard a lot about  magadi road.Again what can i say,the ride was awesome. So totally lost in riding and  loved the roads. This ride was a circuit, from Bangalore-> Mysore road ->Magadi  road ->Bangalore. Some of us also took the nice road to head back home. A laid back ride with the girls.

The MTR walk.

Another Sunday, another walk to have some real good hot breakfast. This time we chose MTR in Indiranagar. From koramangala to MTR it takes 7 km.Bright and sunny day. It's a nice way to have your morning walk,a good chat with your friend and ends with  a yummy breakfast :) When you have a good company to walk with, kms doesn't really make a difference.
These walks of ours are a small substitute to the long treks we keep missing due to various reasons,so the idea flashed why not go for a long walks within the city.My colleague being from Andaman was a little skeptical, for he has enjoyed long walks along the shore line and that he said turns out to be relaxing. So it's sometimes important to choose the time for walk and that's why we pick early Sunday morning. All you would probably get to hear and see are the super bikes zooming pass and believe me,that is not a bad sight after all. :)
And finally one day my colleague decided to test the city walk when he had absolutely nothing to do.He admits it turned out to be enjoyable even though it was on a weekday evening,so Sunday mornings are far better.
The ambience of MTR Indiranagar  is great and the food also tastes good. Karabath being the best!!! Personally we both loved the dosas and karabath of MTR compared to Vidyatri Bhavan. Legs happy, tummy happy and therefore heart's also happy. A great way to start the coming week. :)
Enjoy the pics :)
