Butterfly park, nice place to spend time if your wondering where to head out during weekends.Well maintained and a calm place. The park is situated within the Bannergatta zoo premises.A small suggestion, when you visit Bannergatta zoo,it's better if you could carry some food along.Lot of snack shops. There are two restaurants and a dosa camp, but not worth it. Thought we would wind up visiting this place in an hour, but somehow lost track of time.A very Happy feeling when your surrounded by butterflies. :) They say, when you see a butterfly,"something good's about to happen." :)

December Welcome ride with Bangalore Bikers
Yes! Finally my second ride with Bangalore Bikers after two and a half years. The group that I first rode with, who inspired and encouraged me to ride more :) John, founder of Bangalore Bikers had previously done this route and when I saw it,I wanted to ride it too, main reason being, close to Bangalore and can be done as an afternoon ride.
Bangalore Bikers have a ride every month called as Welcome ride to break the ice for the newbies in the group. So for the Dec ride,John picked the same route.I jumped at the opportunity, when I heard Monica,John's wife's also coming along. The group met up in front of shopper's stop at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. We had a short talk from John about the riding style and had already informed all the riders to carry all the required documents and the attire,if I can say for the ride.
We head out on Bannergatta road heading towards Jigini. The first half of the ride was bad!!! Potholes, uneveness through out. My hands were aching by the time we had our first halt.Basically in the middle of nowhere. We had an introduction round there, took few pics and headed out again.

The second part of the ride was heaven! amazing roads.Just the ones I had seen in the pics. But unfortunately couldn't stop to take the pics, since we were not halting there. We directly headed to our destination,a small pond.A little bit of off roading to head to the pond, which was fun.We stayed there till 6pm in the evening. Just catching up with the two of them, taking lot of pics. Enjoying the view, the place.Just lovely.
John and Monica :)
The night ride was pretty challenging,no divider on the road. Some tractors with no lights. The group split in two smaller groups, then we meet a point and all of us rode together. The night ride turned out a little bit of nerve racking for me.Luckily there were not much pot holes, otherwise the speed would have reduced even more.Everybody cooperated very well during the night ride.A different kind of an experience and I am glad I did it with Bangalore Bikers. We reached Attibele and the group halted there for a tea break.I continued from there as I was getting late. From there it was the super smooth highway Hosur road towards Bangalore.Took the elevated express way.In the end a ride well done :)

A short Birthday ride
Birthday turned out to be relaxed with buddies :) And in the evening Roopa and I decided to go for a shot ride, the plan was to go to Devanahalli fort after the New International Airport Bengaluru. We left around 3pm thinking we would end up reaching early. But I forgot what Bengaluru traffic on a working day could do to you. We rode from Forum to Airport on a Thursday evening, one of the stupiest things to do,atleast we should have taken the ring road to avoid traffic, even that didn't flash.Instead we went head on. :D We were so tired by the time we reached Palace grounds, this is where I totally love Roopa's spirit of riding :) She was so tired,I didn't wanna push her further, but she said, let's finish what we've started, won't feel good going back home from there.:) We thought we could stop by CCD,but then we pushed to airport since I never seen it before. The final stretch, turned out to be worth going.Right on time for the sunset. :) Thank god! the ride back towards Bengaluru was much much easier,it always feels good to take out my sweetheart for a ride:) My Black Beauty,I call her with love. She came into my life as my birthday gift, years back, which I still hold dear to me :)
