Bhumi Mother

I wake up every morning to step a foot on your chest.

While I keep building my dreams around you. Sometimes stubborn where I want you to yield to my wishes.

Has this child of yours gone too far in troubling his mother?

Where this disease is devouring the saint and the sinner alike.

In this play of life has one of your child been to cruel to you?

Where he sees flowers still bloom, bees still buzz. Butterflies flutter their wings.
The trees bare fruits and the birds still sing.
The squirrels collect nuts and the dogs still laze around on a breezy sunny evening.

Unaffected by the miseries he has brought upon himself, his siblings still living life the way it's meant to be.

Has his ambitions to become the greatest left a hole in your heart?

Oh! Mother wrap us again in your warmth and care.
I still want to breathe to see you smile at me again.
