Anyway

You never asked your parents to love you,

but they love you anyway.

You never asked your friends to help you,

but they help you anyway.

You never asked passersby to smile at you,

but they smiled at you anyway.

You never asked your siblings to understand you,

but they understand you anyway.

You never asked strangers to care for you,

but they cared for you anyway.

You never asked your your teachers to give you all the wisdom for life,

but they gave it to you anyway.

You never asked mother nature to create everything you witness,

but she bestowed her abundance on  you anyway.

You never asked me to thank you,

but I am grateful to you anyway.
